Regarding the data of building permits issued, the total number of permits reached 736 during September, recording a monthly increase of 17.6% and an annual decrease of 2.8%.

In addition, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased, where the general family consumption index rose by 0.03% (compared to August 2021).

Total electricity consumption in the country during September was 5094.4 GWh attaining a monthly decrease of 9.7% and an annual increase of 2.1%.
As for the banking sector; total broad money supply (M2) recorded about QR617.4bn during September, an annual increase of 4.2% compared with September 2020.
On the other hand, cash equivalents; including deposits with commercial banks, attained for QR975.5bn during September.
This shows an annual increase of 10.9% compared to September 2020, when deposits stood at nearly QR879.9bn.
PSA statistics showed an increase in the total number of marriage contracts for Qatari males and females by 30.5% and 37% respectively in September (compared to August).
However, the total divorce certificates for Qatari males and females went down by 15.2% and 11% respectively in September (compared to August).
The demographic statistics revealed that the total population of Qatar decreased from 2.72mn (in September 2020) to 2.64mn in September this year.
Regarding vital statistics, some 2026 live births were registered during September.
Also, a decrease in the total Qatari live births (by 4.4%) was seen in September compared to month before.
On the other hand, some 168 deaths were recorded during September, a decrease of 24% compared to August.
Traffic accidents cases omitting accidents without injuries, a total of 610 traffic cases were recorded during September, showing a monthly increase of 8.7% and an annual increase by 32.9%.
Light injuries accounted for the vast majority of traffic accident cases in September (91%) followed by severe injuries (7%).
However, some 11 deaths were recorded, equivalent to 2% of total traffic accident cases, PSA noted.
