In order to fulfill its commitment towards improving the population’s health in Qatar, Commercial Bank, the leading digital bank in Qatar, has conducted a variety of activities and workshops for its employees during the month to support the society with its mission to raise awareness on breast cancer in their community.
To emphasise the importance of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and as a first initiative this month, Commercial Bank launched the remarkable 'You Are the Hope' campaign for its employees, to spread awareness on cancer in the society. 'You Are the Hope' campaign offered CB female employees the opportunity to attend an informative Breast Cancer Awareness Session and enjoy activities held in parallel. The workshop was delivered by specialists in the Health Education Department at the Qatar Cancer Society, and also included fun and useful activities. Free ultrasound screening vouchers were distributed for attendees.
Highlighting the main goal behind launching the campaign, Hussein al-Abdulla, EGM and Chief Marketing Officer at the Commercial Bank said: “At Commercial Bank, our people are our greatest asset, and we are committed to invest in their health and well-being. Commercial Bank is keen on providing its employees with the necessary information that can help in raising awareness on breast cancer. To accomplish this target, the bank hosted specialised medical teams from Naseem Medical Center and Al Shefa Polyclinic, who provided extensive information and answered all staff inquiries. Exciting raising awareness activities included a handprint activity on the 'You Are the Hope' backdrop in the lobby of CB Plaza, where employees had the chance to participate. At the end of the day, a group of CB female employees released pink balloons outside the CB Plaza building, in a gesture of spreading hope in the society.
Ashjan Saleh al-Khalaf, Sponsorships and Events Manager at Commercial Bank, commented: “Activities that focus on encouraging a healthy lifestyle were offered during the event and delivered in an exciting way.
