The members of the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC), in a meeting Wednesday, elected HE Maryam bint Abdullah al-Attiyah as Chairman of the NHRC.
HE al-Attiyah stressed to work for the continuity of this great legacy and following an approach that ensures the stability of the NHRC at the top among its counterparts in the world and aspiration to achieve more achievements in the human rights field.
She pointed out that chairing the NHRC is a great trust that requires cooperation between all State institutions to ensure the advancement of human dignity in Qatar.
HE al-Attiyah said that she will make the greatest effort and harness the utmost energies to assume this national and humanitarian responsibility.
