Qatar Development Bank (QDB) announced Saturday that its Board of Directors has appointed Abdulrahman bin Hisham al-Suwaidi as acting chief executive officer.
QDB explained in a statement that al-Suwaidi's appointment is part of an administrative restructuring that also included the appointment of two women to executive administrative positions.
QDB noted that Amna Ahmed al-Mazrouei was assigned to take over a new executive department named Information Technology and Data Department; while Farha Ahmed al-Kuwari was assigned to take over as Executive Director of Strategy and Business Development.
Other departments also underwent the administrative either by merging or transferring, with the aim of developing the institutional work system and raising the levels of efficiency, operation and excellence.
Commenting on the occasion, al-Suwaidi said he looked forward to continuing the journey of QDB's success, and building on what has been achieved in support of entrepreneurs and the private sector.
He expressed pride of the distinguished work environment at QDB, and the young talents of both genders who constitute an added value for QDB to be able to better serve the private sector and small and medium-sized companies in Qatar.
