The General Directorate of Traffic on Tuesday held the graduation of the second sign language course for officials. The course, according to a tweet by the Ministry of Interior (MoI), was held from September 12 to 30 with the participation of Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs (QSRSN).

The course focused on the basic skills of communicating with people with hearing and speech impairments through sign language. The participants underwent practical exercises including communicating with trainers in addition to specialised training on traffic rules in sign language.
Also, the officials were trained on how to use the sign language to facilitate procedures related to services and deliver awareness messages and other traffic work requirements. The participants also underwent tests to determine to what extent they benefitted from these practices. All results showed distinct levels while confirming that the course achieved its desired objectives.
