MES Indian School, in co-ordination with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Media and Awareness Section at the Studies and the International Department of the Ministry of Interior (MoI), conducted an awareness programme recently on ‘Preventive Education Against Drug Abuse’ for the students of class IX.
The chief guest Dr Nader Mohamed Abbara, from the MoI, highlighted the harmful effect of drugs and said Qatar is making significant efforts to combat the menace at the national and regional levels. There was also a video presentation on the dangers involved in the use of drugs.
Dilfa, a student guide, welcomed the attendees. A vote of thanks was proposed by Angeline James. The event was co-ordinated by Rajesh Kuttala and Fiona Mary D’cruz, in charge teachers of scouts and guides, respectively.
