The Ministry of Interior (MoI), represented by the General Directorate of Civil Defence, participated in the 18th Arab Conference of Heads of Civil Protection Organisations and the joint meeting between civil protection agencies (civil defence) and environmental agencies in the Arab countries.
MoI tweeted that the meeting was held in Tunisia and the Qatari delegation was led by Brig. Gen. Jamal al-Ajmi, director of the Department of Administrative Affairs at the General Directorate of Civil Defence.
The meeting and conference discussed a number of topics including the role of civil defence in combating the Covid-19 pandemic, the dangers of environmental pollution and ways to combat it, and developments in the activities and tasks of civil protection agencies, and codes for importing chemicals.
