Al Khor and Al Thakhira Municipality has carried out an inspection campaign and identified 95 old and dilapidated buildings.
These were accordingly referred to the building maintenance and demolition committee at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, which issued 49 demolition decisions, and 46 inspections were conducted to take the appropriate decision regarding the others.

The decisions also included issuing eight building maintenance permits and seven demolition permits that were already implemented. The municipal control department at the municipality has notified the owners of the buildings that are to be demolished.
