HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani met yesterday with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, who is currently visiting the country. They reviewed co-operation relations between Qatar and the European Union and a number of regional and international issues, in addition to issues of joint interest. They also exchanged views, during the meeting, on the Afghan issue and discussed the latest developments and visions of international parties and the latest security and political developments in Afghanistan. The EU top official expressed his thanks, in this regard, to Qatar for its continuous efforts to support peace in Afghanistan, and to facilitate the evacuation of civilians from it in co-operation with a number of European Union countries.
