The Cabinet on Wednesday approved a draft decision of HE the Minister of Interior to form and nominate the head and members of the Sub-Committee for Elections for the Shura Council election, to be based in Qatar University.
This committee is specialised in conducting the voting process for elderly people (aged above 60 years), people with special needs and those with chronic diseases, according to data from the Ministry of Public Health, Qatar News Agency reports.
The Cabinet also approved draft law amending some provisions of the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Law promulgated by Law No. 20 of 2019, as well as a draft Cabinet decision to amend some provisions of the executive regulations of the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Law, issued by Cabinet Resolution No. 41 of 2019.
Then, the Cabinet reviewed the following issues and took the appropriate decision: the results of a study prepared by the Standing Committee on Water Resources on the uses of treated water, and its recommendations in this regard; and the results of the ministerial briefing meeting for the Regional Office for Eastern Mediterranean Countries of the World Health Organisation.
