Qatar’s volleyball team has qualified for the World Championship to be held in Russia from August 26 to September 11, 2022. Qatar achieved the qualification after finished fifth in the just-concluded Asian championships in Japan which saw their FIVB world ranking jump to 20. The 24 teams that have qualified for the men’s competition include: Russia (hosts), Poland, Iran, Japan, Tunisia, Cameroon, Italy, Slovenia, Brazil, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Canada, France, USA, Serbia, Cuba, Netherlands, Germany, Mexico, Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Bulgaria, and China. The draw of lots ceremony for the men’s championship will be held on September 30, 2021, in Moscow.
