Sluzewiec, Poland: Sheikh Faisal bin Hamad bin Jassim al-Thani-owned Al Faisal remained unbeaten and gained a third successive victory at Sluzewiec racecourse in Poland when landing the Amuraths Stakes on Saturday.
Trained by Maciej Kacprzyk, Al Faisal was ridden by jockey Kamil Grzybowski on all three occasions.
Settled behind early leader Al Jassim, Al Faisal travelled with plenty of purpose throughout the 2,000m race and was never more than two lengths off the pace. On turning for home, he was angled out to challenge Al Jassim and the pair were locked in a duel through the final 400m. Al Faisal eventually got the better of the game Al Jassim and went on to win by a length. The pair drew clear of Maeali Muscat, who finished back in third.
Bred by his owner, Al Faisal is by Haras De Thouars’ stallion AF Albahar and is out of Sakina De Faust, a winner over 2,000m in Germany.
