Qatar Airways has clarified in a tweet that face shield is not mandatory while reminding travellers that they must wear face mask during flights.
"Qatar Airways would like to remind passengers that they must wear a face covering such as a medical mask during their flights. We would also like to point out that wearing a face shield is not mandatory," the airlines said in a post on Twitter in Arabic.

This comes following some false speculation on social media about a new travel update as per which face shield was mandatory.
