A new public artwork, “Untitled (Trench, Shafts, Pit, Tunnel and Chamber)” by Bruce Nauman has been added to Msheireb Doha Downtown as part of the Qatar-USA Year of Culture 2021 initiative.
The art piece was created by the world-renowned American sculptor as part of a series of works made by the artist in the late 70’s, Qatar Museums (QM) chairperson HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani said in a social media post.
“Stay tuned for more artworks to be added as part of the Qatar-USA 2021 Year of Culture and I preparation for Qatar-USA 50 years of bilateral relations next year,” she added.
