Champion driver Abdullah al-khelaifi clinched his second consecutive Open Class 1 win in the Qatar National Sprint Championship, driving a Westfield Sport at a special track outside the Losail International Circuit on Friday.
In the second round of the popular series, organised by the Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation (QMMF), al-Khelaifi clocked a time of 1 minute 14.594 secs in his first run, and followed up with two rounds of 1:09.087 and 1:06.938, the fastest in his class.
Abdulaziz al-Jabri (Nissan 350Z – O2), Abdulla al-Abassi (Lotus Exige – O3). Mansour Chebli (Renault Clio – P1), Dean Ball (Porsche Boxter 718 – P2) and Mahmoud al-Mahmoud (Porsche GT3 – P3) were the winners of the remaining sprint categories.
