The Anti-Smuggling and Customs Security Administration has foiled an attempt at Hamad Port to smuggle tobacco products inside a container. The General Authority of Customs (GAC) has informed that tobacco bags were hidden inside boxes of masks. The seized products weighed 2.4 tonnes.
GAC has urged the public to participate in the national campaign against smuggling and customs offences, by providing information on smuggling of prohibited or restricted goods or tampering with customs documents, invoices and other offences, receiving and monitoring security notes, in complete secrecy via hotline 16500 or e-mail: [email protected]
