The second round of the political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan was held in the capital Baku. The Qatari side was chaired by HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi, while the Azerbaijani side was chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev. During the consultations, the two sides reviewed the bilateral ties and means of promoting and enhancing them. The consultation round was attended by ambassador of Qatar to Azerbaijan Faisal bin Abdullah al-Henzab, the Qatari accompanying delegation, and ambassador of Azerbaijan to Qatar Rashad Ismayilov.
