The sixth edition of the Merwad Exhibition is scheduled to kick off on October 1 at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), according to Qatar Chamber.
The six-day expo, which is sponsored by Qatar Chamber and organised by Vouge Event Company, will display products and designs of 135 prominent designers from Qatar, alongside designers from other GCC countries, Lebanon, Turkey, and India.
The expo will include 150 booths presenting a variety of abayas, dresses, and women’s supplies and accessories.
Qatar Chamber board member and Qatar Businesswomen Forum chairperson Ibtihaj al-Ahmadani will inaugurate the expo in the presence of leading businesswomen and entrepreneurs.
The exhibition provides a good opportunity for visitors to learn about the latest trends in fashion and luxurious clothes, as well as the latest designs of abayas.
In a statement, al-Ahmadani said the Merdwad Exhibition has become one of the important platforms that highlight Qatari innovation in fashion designs and showcases the development in this industry annually.
She also noted that the past five editions had presented a large variety of luxurious abayas and classy costumes.
Al-Ahmadani underscored the chamber’s keenness to support exhibitions that are held by Qatari businesswomen with the aim to promote their products, citing the Qatari Businesswomen Forum’s role in supporting women’s contribution to Qatar’s economic activity.
