Qatar University (QU) announced a gradual return to the in-person attendance on campus, in close co-ordination with the relevant authorities in the State.
QU indicated that it has prepared the campus for the safe return of the first group of students to resume studying in the university campus as of Sunday, September 12, 2021.
The first group includes students enrolled in the courses offered by the Health Cluster (Faculty of Medicine, College of Dentistry, College of Pharmacy and College of Health Sciences), the foundation level courses, and UNIV100 and UNIV200 seminars.
QU added that postgraduate students and students registered in practical courses will continue to receive their lectures on the campus.
The University called on students to ensure that the green status appears in Ehteraz app, and to maintain wearing face masks in closed places as well as social distancing and other directives issued by the Ministry of Public Health.
With regard to students from the most at-risk groups, QU stressed the need to submit a request for exemption from attending lectures on campus, accompanied by certificates that include an explanation of the health status and a doctors' recommendation regarding whether or not to attend, provided that they are issued by Hamad Medical Corp or the Primary Health Care Corp via the following link (https://forms.office.com/r/g7T7tsWeP0). QU underlined that it will closely follow the main indicators of the educational process on the campus, in light of the security and safety procedures and the health situation in the country in general.
Concerned teams will follow up any observations or inquiries that the University's employees may have to achieve their safe return. (QNA)
