Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) has launched an initiative to help Afghan refugees in Qatar, which includes donations and volunteering activities.
"Let’s show the Afghans that they are welcome, that they have a home here, and that we care," HE Sheikha Hind bint Hamad al-Thani, Vice-Chairperson and CEO of QF, said in a post on Instagram.
People can help by donating items for the Afghan refugees or by volunteering to help the QF Donation Drive by collecting and sorting items.

Upon entry, one needs to have his/her Ehteraz app ready and should ask for directions to the Refugee Donation Drive or Black Box Theatre.
To volunteer for the QF Donation Drive, people have to sign up at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QFVolunteerSupport
The link has a survey, which has to be filled out by those interested in the volunteering initiative.
“We are currently looking for volunteers to support activities we are running for the Afghan refugees here in Qatar - please fill out the survey if you are able to volunteer and we will contact you with proposed slots. Please note you will need to complete a short training to participate,” QF Volunteer Support says on the survey page.
There are three volunteering options for people to choose from: at the (Afghan evacuee) compound helping out with activities; sorting out donations; and delivering donations. People are encouraged to select more than one option if they can.
