The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a three-month partial closure of all left turns on Khalifa Olympic City Intersection on Al Waab Street from Tuesday. The closure in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic is to enable widening and improvement works of the vital junction.
Al Waab Street users coming from Muaithar and heading to Baaya are advised to use Mehairja Intersection while those going from Mehairja to Al Aziziyah are advised to use the Sports Hall Intersection to reach their destinations. Sports City Street users heading from Salwa road to Al Waab street should use Snay Bu Hasa Street.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary closure and requested all to follow them and abide by the speed limit to ensure safety.
