HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry and Acting Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari held a meeting Monday with Alikhan Smailov, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who is visiting the country with his accompanying delegation.
The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and joint co-operation in the trade, investment, and industrial fields, as well as means to bolster and develop this co-operation. Talks also focused on bilateral trade policies and the efforts exerted by both sides to confront the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, the two sides discussed preparations for holding the next session of the Qatari-Kazakh Joint Committee on Economic, Commercial, and Technical Co-operation, which will be held in Doha. Al-Kuwari also highlighted the economic policies established by Qatar to support the private sector. These policies included the incentives, legislations, and promising opportunities that were put in place to encourage investors, businessmen, and companies to invest in Qatar.
