Birla Public School has bagged the Talentspire Ever-rolling Trophy for Academic Excellence in Science. Indian Space Research Organisation's former chairman Padma Vibhushan Dr Madhavan Nair handed over the trophy to Birla vice principal Rajesh Pillai at a ceremony in India recently.
As many as 17,416 students from nearly 800 schools participated in Talentspire scholarship examination in July. Prof Dr Wolfgang Kiefer, Eisingen Laboratory, Germany, the most renowned living expert on Raman Spectroscopy, who received many international recognitions including the Raman Lifetime Award, presented the certificates virtually to the toppers.
The names of 100 toppers from across India and the Middle East, were read out in the meeting. Scholarships in cash and learning materials worth Rs2.5mn are being handed over to the winners.
The event was a rare opportunity for thousands to students to listen to the brilliant array of luminaries in science and technology. Talentspire authorities confirmed that the next set of 1,000 students from among the participants would be contacted and given further rewards.
