In a tweet on Tuesday, Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announced that it has opened Faleh Bin Nasser Interchange on Salwa Road and Haloul Interchange on Haloul Street after completion of expansion works, converting old Haloul Roundabout into a two-level intersection. This will streamline traffic to neighbourhoods of Bu Hamour, Al Mamoura, Ain Khaled, Al Waab, and Al Aziziyah.
According to Ashghal, “the new intersections connect Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor with surrounding roads. Haloul Interchange connects Haloul Street with Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor all the way to Faleh Bin Nasser Interchange and Salwa Road on one side, and Wholesale Market Street on the other.
“The two junctions are located in prime areas covering many vital, commercial, health and educational facilities located on Salwa Rd, Wholesale Market St, Haloul St and Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor.”
