Qatar University (QU) has signed a co-operation protocol with the Turkish Maarif Foundation (TMF). The protocol includes sending 30 students from the TMF to QU each year to complete their education with a bachelor’s degree in Arabic language.
According to the agreement, QU pledges to offer scholarships to Turkish students graduating from various schools in Turkey. The TMF identifies students with a scholarship to complete their undergraduate education in Qatar provided that they fulfill all admission and registration conditions. The main objective of this co-operation is to ensure the students’ success in the academic field, who will act as a bridge between the two countries.
TMF was established by Law No 6721 on June 17, 2016. It is an institution that has the authority to implement educational activities of Turkey abroad. The TMF, which is doing its utmost to serve the public without expecting any financial interest, by conducting all kinds of effective studies that start from preschool education to graduate studies, and including regular education and non-formal education worldwide. The TMF currently offers its educational services in 44 countries and has 359 educational institutions and facilities in these countries. The total number of Maarif students exceeds 42,700.
