Bulgarian President Rumen Radev met in Sofia Saturday with the outgoing Qatari ambassador Rashid bin Ali al-Khater. The ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the Bulgarian president, wishing him good health and happiness, and the government and people of Bulgaria continued progress and prosperity.
For his part, the president entrusted the ambassador to convey his greetings to His Highness the Amir, wishing him good health and happiness, and Qatar continued progress, development and prosperity. The Bulgarian president commended the ambassador's efforts in strengthening the relations of friendship and co-operation between Bulgaria and Qatar. President Radev presented the Order of the Madara Horseman First Degree to the ambassador in recognition of his efforts during his tenure in enhancing relations between Qatar and Bulgaria. The ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Bulgarian president for awarding him the honour, and for the great co-operation between the two countries.
