The 75,000sq m Linear Park at Al Hilal, located near The Mall and Qatar Charity headquarters, attracts many visitors, especially those who want remain active this summer.
Families and children usually come in the afternoon for walking, jogging, or cycling around the 1.5km long and 50m wide park, which is surrounded by lush greenery.
With many of its trees and various types of plants fully grown, it provides a pleasing atmosphere and temperature at this time of the year.
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME)’s Public Parks Department, in collaboration with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), built the park and opened it in February 2019, providing Doha residents with more beautiful outdoor spaces for physical and recreational activities.
Public parks in the country have also become popular areas for picnics and other gatherings, particularly during the weekend.
