The Ministry of Municipality and Environment's (MME) Radiation and Chemicals Protection Department accomplished 420 related transactions during the recent Eid al-Adha holidays, as part of its keenness to facilitate these services regarding the imports and exports of the hazardous chemicals and radioactive materials.
The Department has enhanced its e-services, wherein the applications can be reviewed and examined through the MME website. The applicant can fill the required application forms regarding the release of imported cargoes to expedite the process. Accordingly, the employees of the department at the various ports of the country will ensure that such customs transactions have the necessary approvals of the department before inspecting them to verify the related data and information, and comply with the related laws and regulations. Besides, such cargoes are classified and separated according to the applicable international standards.
