Dr Subhash B Nair, principal of Shantiniketan Indian School (SIS), Doha, has been conferred with the Global Principals’ Award 2020 by AKS Education Award through an online award ceremony held recently.
AKS Education honours educational leaders for "recognising educational acumen". Dr Nair has been awarded for innovative leadership that has brought about a transformation in the pedagogical practices through his trademarked SIS Learn – Active Teaching Pedagogy, which is based on the '3Gs' approach promoting Genuine Self Awareness, Generous Hard Work and Generative Innovation. His innovative approach as a leader has helped the school in practising the teaching learning process, which helps every child learn and achieve high performance, SIS has said in a statement.
