Galfar Toastmasters Club recently elected its new executive committee (Excom) for the year 2021-22.
Gopalakrishnan P Selvam was elected president of the executive committee for the 2021-22 term along with the new team comprising young and energetic Toastmasters.
The new Excom team members are Nishant Menon, vice-president (education), Dinesh Aditya, vice-president (membership), Mubeen Mohamed Ali, vice-president (public relations), Mazher Khan, secretary, Madhu V A, treasurer and Faisudheen as sergeant-at-arms. The immediate past president is Subramanya Hebbagelu.
The event was attended by a number of Galfar Al Misnad employees, including seasoned Toastmasters.
Area 4 director George Philip installed the new upcoming Excom team along with the immediate past president. Members attended the online meeting and congratulated the new team, expressing their belief that the new team would take the club to greater heights in 2021-2022.
Galfar Toastmasters Club was awarded the Diamond Corporate Club Award this year and is recognised as one of the best corporate clubs in Qatar. The club, which recently celebrated its 12th anniversary, was formed in 2009 to enhance the communication and leadership skills of employees. Since its inception, more than 200 staff members have benefitted from the club’s various programmes and activities.
