A Turkish language course (level one) was recently organised by the Anatolian Student Club in co-operation with the Turkish Cultural Center, under the supervision of Dr Selcuk Kursad Koca, director of the center in Doha, as part of Qatar University's (QU) desire to enhance the role of student activity and the student club management's means of paying attention to educational activities.
The Anadolu Club's administrative team explained that the course's registration period saw a high turnout of students; the club received more than 200 applications for admission within 48 hours of the registration announcement being published, prompting the club's management to close the registration door before the deadline.
It's worth noting that the course is a simple introduction for students to learn the fundamentals of the Turkish language. The lesson system was as follows: the lessons were divided into eight weeks; one hour per week; and the lessons focused on four skills; writing, reading, listening, and speaking.
The lecturers expressed their appreciation for the students' excitement and readiness to follow the lectures at the end of the course.
The students, for their part, expressed gratitude to their teachers and happiness with the teaching style, which they described as combining fun with benefit.
