The Qatari ambassador in Paris, Sheikh Ali bin Jassim al-Thani, has said that the relations between Qatar and France grew stronger, adding that the two countries were able to discuss in depth all aspects of bilateral co-operation in all fields, as well as regional issues. This came in a video recorded by the ambassador, congratulating the French people on the National Day of France.
He emphasised the essential place of the cultural field in the bilateral relations, which was embodied in the existing co-operation with the most prominent French cultural institutions, from the Palace of Versailles to Les Franciscaines in Deauville and the National Sports Museum in Nice.
The ambassador expressed his wishes for a happy National Day to all French people, wherever they are, praising the existing friendship between the two countries. He also expressed his happiness that Qatar was able to welcome French tourists again, stressing that the global health crisis highlighted the existing solidarity between Qatar and France, as they stood together to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
