Qatar Postal Services Company (Qatar Post) has announced the launch of the FIFA World Cup 2022 stadiums stamp set, which is the second edition of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 official stamps.
This comes as part of the agreement signed with FIFA, under which Qatar Post became the Official Licensee in the stamps category for the tournament that will be hosted by Qatar.
The second release of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Philatelic Programme brings fans one step closer to the tournament with stamps depicting the eight spectacular stadiums that will host next year’s event, the Supreme Committee for Legacy & Delivery (SC) said in a statement.
The stamps feature the dramatic colours and designs of the brand and bring to life Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, Lusail Stadium, Ras Abu Aboud Stadium, Al Janoub Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium, Al Thumama Stadium, Education City Stadium and Al Bayt Stadium.
The second edition was revealed at a special ceremony on July 12 in the presence of FIFA officials as well as delegates from the SC and Qatar Post.
Qatar Post will sell stamps for mailing purposes to local fans, with international fans able to get in on the action with commemorative designs from FIFA Branded Licensee MDM Münzhandelsgesellschaft mbH & Co KG Deutsche Münze.
The FIFA World Cup 2022 stadiums stamp will be sold to the public for QR28. In the first stage, 20,000 copies, 2,000 first-day issue envelopes, 3,000 postcards and 2,000 folders have been printed, Qatar Post said in a related statement.

Qatar Post said it will continue to design stamps in commemoration of every stage of preparation for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which simultaneously highlight the rich legacy and history of Qatar in the field of football.
