The Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA) and Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhancing co-operation between the two institutions and provide more services and activities to the Qatari community regarding charitable and humanitarian work.
The MoU was signed by the General-Manager of RACA Ibrahim Abdulla al-Dehaimi and President of HBKU Dr Ahmad Hasnah.
The MoU included mechanisms for scientific and knowledge exchange between the two institutions, the exchange of expertise and experts, the organisation of joint events such as research and studies, workshops, conferences and seminars of common interest, the examination of ways of co-operation regarding charitable and community contributions, the exchange of training and professional experiences, the provision of scholarships, and the establishment of specialised seats in the charitable and humanitarian fields.
It is anticipated to form a team from both RACA and HBKU to discuss ways to implement the desired areas of cooperation, formulate effective operational action plans, and focus on priorities.
The signing of this agreement comes in the context of RACA's endeavour to enhance partnership and co-operation with national academic institutions in Qatar such as Qatar University, Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies, and Gulf Organisation for Research and Development.
