The designated authorities have referred 193 people to the Public Prosecution for violating the precautionary and preventive measures in force in the country to contain the spread of Covid-19, The Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a tweet Sunday.
Of them, 149 people were referred to the Public Prosecution for not wearing masks in places where they are mandatory, while 43 were found not maintaining safe physical distance.
Also, one person people was referred to the Public Prosecution for not installing the Ehteraz app on the mobile phone.
The measure is in line with a Cabinet decision and Decree Law No 17 of 1990 on infectious diseases, and the precautionary and preventive measures in force in the country to contain the spread of the coronavirus, MoI said.
The authorities have called on the public to adhere to the Covid-19 precautionary and preventive measures for their safety and that of others.
