Friends of Kozhikode-Qatar (FOK-Qatar) recently organised a blood donation camp in association with Hamad Medical Corporation at the HMC new blood donation center on Al Rayyan Road, as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, commemorating 75 years of India’s independence.
Over 100 volunteers including women participated in the noble act without compromising the Covid-19 protocols. Indian Cultural Centre President P N Baburajan and Indian Community Benevolent Forum President Ziad Usman were the chief guests of the event that was also attended by some prominent community members. The guests acknowledged and appreciated FOK-Qatar for the support rendered to the community during the tough times of pandemic.
FK-Qatar is an expatriate organisation from Kozhikode district of Kerala in India and is affiliated to the ICC under the aegis of the Embassy of India. FOK-Qatar office bearers; Mustafa M V, Faisal Moosa, Mansoor Ali, Renjith Chalil, Anwar Babu, Sajid Backar, Shakeer Hussain, Siraj Chittari, Riyaz Babu, Sarath C Nair, Sameer Nangichath, Riyaz Naruvil, Sunil Mohammed, Senith keloth, Shihabudeen S P H, K K V Mohamed Ali, Rajasree Rasheed, Reshmi Sarath, Vidya Renjith, and other executive committee members lead from the front while organising the event. FOK President K K Usman and other office-bearers namely; Sunil Kumar, Fareed Thikkodi, Vipindas k Puthur and Raman Nai, who are currently in India, guided the committee actively online.
