The Hajj and Umrah Endowment at the General Administration of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) received contribution of QR 133,500 from various benefactors. This amount will be used to help Hajj and Umrah pilgrims meet there expenses. The donation was made through the ministry’s Thukher programme on Quran Radio. The Endowment Service Centre stated that the “Hajj and Umrah Waqf” project aims to create a growing endowment with permanent revenue that provides services for the benefit of individuals in need of Hajj and Umrah inside and outside the country. The amount will be used to pay for Hajj and Umrah expenses for those who are qualified annually as a charity on behalf of the honorable benefactors. This comes with the commitment of Awqaf to help them materialise there desire according to there generous conditions.
