HEC Paris has launched early application discounts for the October 2021 intake of its Specialised Master's Degree in Strategic Business Unit Management (SBUM) programme in Qatar.
The early application offer will run until August 21, encouraging individuals to plan their studies and prepare their applications in advance of final deadlines, HEC Paris in Qatar has said in a statement.
The Specialised Master’s programme helps professionals and entrepreneurs develop the wide, multidisciplinary range of skills they will need to successfully run business units and manage teams effectively. “The Specialised Master’s Degree is an essential building block in helping entrepreneurs and business professionals support post-Covid rebuilding. The programme ensures that participants are ready for business challenges in a transformed, next-normal landscape where management will be expected to quickly pivot into genuinely entrepreneurial and innovative methods,” said Joshua Kobb, drector of Partnerships & Growth, HEC Paris in Qatar. “The early application discount encourages individuals who are serious about investing in their professional development to manage their candidacy in an efficient manner. Our application process is rigorous, reflecting our commitment to excellence, and should be undertaken several months prior to the programme's start.”
Specialised Master’s participants have the opportunity to learn international best practices and focus on areas of key importance for their personal and professional development. Programme participants will be mentored through a journey which fosters their self-driven, problem-based learning and critical thinking.
“Through the thesis activity, participants have the opportunity to apply their learnings to address a crucial issue in their organisation or community. After identifying a topic of personal interest and value, they will critically review insights that already exist, gather empirical evidence and then propose recommendations,” explained Kobb.
The HEC Paris Specialised Master’s is now one of the most respected business education programmes for executives and entrepreneurs in Qatar, according to Hamad al-Thani, class of 2019. “It offers an ease and flexibility to learn the advanced nuances of business in a part-time setup, allowing participants to continue with their regular jobs,” he explained.
The HEC Paris Specialised Master’s programme "reflects HEC Paris’ commitment to contributing to the development of Qatar’s evolving knowledge-based economy and to strengthening corporate competitiveness in the region", the statement notes. Qatari nationals may be eligible for scholarships through the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and can find more details on the ministry’s website. HEC Paris in Qatar offers its own institutional merit-based scholarships, including awards for exceptional nationals, entrepreneurs and female leaders, all of whom play an important role in the development of Qatar’s diversified economy.
