Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Qatar Toastmasters Club (AMUAQTC) recently conducted a virtual meeting. The meeting was started by sergeant at arms Syed Mohamed Zakiullah.
Club President Jawed Ahmad introduced and invited the guest speaker Naila Saeed. The toastmaster of the day was Asha Shiju, who conducted the educational session of the evening. She revealed the theme of the meeting – ‘The Chatterbox Within’ and explained how people can utilise time effectively to maintain health as well as growth.
The proceedings began with a speech of Naila Saeed, Chief Executive Officer of Early Years Education System (EYES Child Care, Canada), on the topic of importance of public speaking and skill development. Word master and grammarian Dr Ashna Nusrat introduced the word of the day ‘ebullient’, and explained its usage. General evaluator Dr Nadeem Jilani conducted the evaluation session. Lutfi Kakar was the timer. Speeches were evaluated by Anupama Kasibatla and Nadeem Jilani. The table topics session was handled by Sruthy Anna Mammen. Prepared speech topic ‘Time’ was presented by Dr Ashna Nusrat.
Syed Mohamed Zakiullah, Mahjabeen Hussain and Vinod V Nair delivered the speeches for Level 1 and Level 2 respectively. The club members congratulated the newly elected Division E director Anupama Kasibatla and Area 19 director Deepak Tarija.
