Kerala Business Forum (KBF), in association with Damaan Islamic Insurance Company (Beema) and Savoy Global Insurance, has launched an insurance programme for all its members and their family. The programme, which enrolls all KBF members for life and personal accident cover for QR500,000 for a premium of QR650, was conceived by the previous committee, headed by K R Jayaraj.
The risk cover is a value-addition to the members of KBF, an organisation for entrepreneurs of Kerala origin and affiliated to Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC), under the aegis of the Indian embassy in Qatar.
The first lot of insurance certificates was issued to Azim Abbas, president of IBPC; Abdulla Theruvath, advisory council chairman, KBF; P N Baburaj, president, Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), and A P Manikantan, former ICC president. The KBF Privilege card, which offers discounts at more than 25 retail outlets to KBF members, was also launched during the meeting.
