HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, met Thursday with the UN Special Co-ordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland, during his current visit to the country. They reviewed developments in Palestine and the mechanism for delivering aid to the Palestinian people and how to develop joint efforts between Qatar and the UN in this regard. Sheikh Mohammed reiterated Qatar's firm stance on the just cause of Palestine and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, including exercising their religious rights and establishing their independent state on the 1967 borders with Al-Quds as its capital. Wennesland renewed his thanks to Qatar for its efforts that contributed to reaching the ceasefire agreement in Gaza Strip. (QNA)
