Qatar Customs, represented by the Maritime Customs Department, has launched the process of linking the image analysis systems (NeoTech) of x-ray machines with the single-window (Al Nadeeb) clearance system, the General Authority of Customs (GAC) said in a tweet on Wednesday. This linking is the first-of-its-kind and can speed up the inspection process, reduce the release time and lighten the burden on inspectors, the GAC noted. The launch took place in the presence of Mohamed Ahmed al-Mohannadi, deputy chairman of the Authority for Customs Affairs.
