Pakistan’s ambassador to Qatar Syed Ahsan Raza Shah held an Open House (“Khuli Katchehry”) on the premises of the embassy in Doha on Monday.
He interacted with participants of the event on a wide range of issues related to the community.
A large number of community members from various walks of life attended.
In his welcome remarks, Raza Shah reiterated that the welfare of the community is one of the top priorities of the Pakistan government.
He briefed the attendees on the continued efforts of the embassy to provide efficient consular and welfare services to the community, especially during the ongoing coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
The members of the community raised several complaints, queries and issues pertaining to labour and employment issues, property disputes in Pakistan, education issues, Roshan Digital Accounts, NICOP (National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis), and passports as well as attestations, some of which were resolved on the spot, the embassy said in a press statement.
The ambassador also updated the participants on the Covid-19-related restrictions in Qatar and Pakistan, and the embassy's efforts in this regard.
Community members expressed appreciation for the embassy’s community outreach and gave suggestions to further improve the services, which the ambassador welcomed.
This was the fourth “Khuli Katchehry” held over the past four months.
The date of the next “Khuli Katchehry” session would be announced soon.
