The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in co-operation with Skyline Automotive, dealer of Hyundai in Qatar, has announced a recall of Hyundai Tucson models of 2015-2018 due to an electrical short in the hydraulic electronic control unit that may occur very rarely and could increase the risk of an engine compartment fire.
Also, in co-operation with Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Co, dealer of Infiniti in Qatar, the MoCI has announced a recall of Infiniti Q70 models of 2009-2015 due to a possible defect in the propeller shaft.
The recall campaigns come within the framework of the MoCI's continuous efforts to protect consumers and ensure that dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.
The ministry has said it will co-ordinate with the dealers to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that they have carried out the necessary repairs.
The MoCI has urged all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, enquiries and suggestions through the call centre: 16001, email: [email protected], Twitter: @MOCIQATAR, Instagram: MOCIQATAR, and the ministry's mobile app for Android and iOS: MOCIQATAR
