Saoud bin Abdulaziz al-Mohannadi was elected to the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) Council as Vice-President for the new term 2021-2025, at the conclusion of the General Assembly of the Union, which was followed by a meeting of the newly-elected Council in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday. Al-Mohannadi, who won the council membership after receiving 20 votes, was later named vice president -for the Asian continent – by virtue of recommendation.HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed al-Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), headed the Qatari delegation participating in the meetings of the UAFA General Assembly yesterday. Sheikh Hamad also participated in the meeting of the UAFA Council, headed by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Faisal, President of the Union.The QFA delegation included Saoud bin Abdulaziz al-Mohannadi, (Vice-President), Mansour Mohamed al-Ansari (General Secretary), and Mohamed Khalifa al-Suwaidi (CEO, Aspire Zone Foundation).
