Qatari nationals will be required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before travelling to the United Kingdom starting February 25, 2026, the British embassy in Doha has announced.
Passengers without an approved ETA will not be allowed to board their flight to the UK, authorities said, urging travellers to secure approval well in advance of their departure dates.
Applications must be submitted through the official UK ETA mobile application or via the gov.uk website. The current application fee is £16.
Travellers are advised to apply at least three working days prior to travel to allow sufficient processing time.
Once granted, an ETA allows multiple visits to the United Kingdom of up to six months per stay over a two-year period, or until the holder’s passport expires—whichever comes first.
Officials encouraged travellers to plan ahead to avoid disruption to their travel arrangements.
