HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohamed Abdul Wahed al-Hammadi met with the first group of Ambassadors of Excellence who were selected from the winners of the Scientific Excellence Award based on their contribution and excellence.
This comes within the framework of the continuous support for distinguished Qataris and the Ministry of Education's endeavour to continue the path of excellence. The first group of ambassadors includes Wadha Hamad Saleh Abu Sherida al-Athba, Abdul Aziz Ahmed Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghani al-Haram, Hessa Wasmi al-Wubiri al-Shamri, and Hissa Ismail Saeed Faraj.
HE al-Hammadi stressed during this meeting the importance of the Scientific Excellence Award for the state and society, and His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani honours the distinguished candidates every year in appreciation of the value of science and its essential role in the success of the march the country's national development.
The minister pointed out that the creation of ambassadors (for the Excellence Award) is the result of the work of the awards' Board of Trustees to encourage our distinguished students to participate in spreading the culture of creativity and excellence in society, and spreading it among the Qatari youth.
HE al-Hammadi stressed the importance of developing the ambassadors' capabilities by including them in training, educational and awareness programs concerned with maximising their leadership capabilities, dialogue, discussion and other supporting skills to enable them to perform their tasks and enhance their capabilities as the first ambassadors of excellence.
On the other hand, the CEO of the Scientific Excellence Award Dr Hamda al-Sulaiti, said that the ambassadors were chosen based on their abilities to continue the path of excellence, and for their presentation of intellectual and scientific productions, scientific and development projects and inventions, in addition to their leadership skills and initiative.
