The Shura Council participated in the 9th World e-Parliament Conference, organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Union, via video conference technology. Discussions during the three-day conference focused on lessons learned from the Covid-19 pandemic, digital transformation of parliaments, and good practices in parliamentary innovation. The Shura Council was represented in this conference by HE Nasser bin Ahmed al-Malki and HE Mubarak bin Saif al-Mansouri, members of the Council. In the meanwhile, the Shura Council's Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee held a meeting yesterday, headed by its rapporteur, HE Nasser bin Rashid bin Saree al-Kaabi. During the meeting, the committee continued studying a draft law on combating conflict of interest, and decided to complete the study of the aforementioned draft law at its next meeting.
