Strong northwesterly winds will continue to blow over the next two days, and dusty weather at times is expected due to the movement of dust masses from the northeast part of the Arabian Peninsula towards the country's airspace, the Qatar Met department has said.
Informing through social media on Wednesday, the weather office urged people to be careful in view of the expected conditions.
Doha and other parts of Qatar experienced another spell of windy and dusty conditions yesterday, with the Met department as well as Hamad Medical Corporation issuing advisories on the safety measures to be followed in such conditions.
Visibility also dropped in some places due to the blowing dust.
Today's forecast shows strong winds and poor horizontal visibility are again expected in the country today. Offshore areas, too, are likely to see windy conditions and high seas today along with poor horizontal visibility at times.
The wind (northwesterly) speed may go up to 38 knots inshore during the daytime and 35 knots offshore, with the sea level rising to 12ft at times.
Hot conditions will prevail along with slightly dusty to dusty conditions in some places at times, and visibility may drop to 2km or less.
Dusty conditions are also forecast in offshore areas.
The temperature today is expected to range from 28-42C in Wakra and Mesaieed, and 34-41C in Doha.
