Different parts of the country continued to experience windy and dusty conditions Wednesday and similar conditions have been forecast for Thursday as well.
The Qatar Met department has said strong winds and poor visibility are expected in some places during the daytime on Thursday, as well as windy conditions and high seas in offshore areas.
The wind speed may go up to 35 knots in some inshore areas during the day and 32 knots offshore at times, with the sea level rising to 11ft.
The detailed forecast also says the conditions will be "hot to very hot" and slight to blowing dust is also expected in some places during the daytime, while slight dust is likely offshore at times.
In a related tweet yesterday, the Met department said the AlBawarih winds continue blowing, "from fresh to strong in some areas", and their speed gradually decreases in the evening. It also issued a reminder of the continued strong winds inshore and offshore during the weekend.
Meanwhile, today's temperature is expected to range from 26-45C in Wakra and Mesaieed, 32-44C in Doha, 31-42C in Al Khor, 31-37C in Abu Samra, 34-36C in Dukhan and 33-35C in Ruwais.
The weather office urged the public to avoid direct exposure to sunlight in view of the hot weather conditions.
